
Our Food Philosophy
Our partner / chef has many years experience of food, he was classically trained in a Michelin star restaurant , then moved onto the Savoy in London and the Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo France, after which he ran and owned a sucession of restaurants and inns. Now our food philosopy is to provide restaurant quality food in a traditional English Country Inn environment. We provide sizable portions using the very best and freshest mostly locally sourced ingredients at sensible value for money prices, our menus change on an almost daily basis to reflect what we are buying in the market.

Our Suppliers
We only buy our fish from sustainable fisheries M&J Seafood, and use local suppliers wherever possible. Our main suppliers include Thames Valley Meats who provide us with beef, pork lamb and liver. The Butchers Dog Sausage Co at Lambourn provide our sausages, ham and bacon and our chicken comes form Winterton Brothers at Marlow
Our Customers Dining Experience
We aim to create a friendly welcoming atmosphere combined with efficient service, our a la carte menu can be enjoyed throughout the Inn, either in our candlelit wood panelled restaurant area or the bar area close to one of our three fireplaces. In the Summer you may prefer to dine al fresco on our well lit large patio or in the traditional beer garen under old English Oak.
